MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK
VOLCANOES & GORILLAS

Overview

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is Uganda’s smallest national park, located in the far southwestern corner of the country, where Uganda meets Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Despite its size, it is one of Africa’s most remarkable destinations, famous for its dramatic volcanic scenery and its rare mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The park forms part of the larger Virunga Conservation Area, making it a paradise for adventure seekers, wildlife lovers, and cultural explorers.
