Rise with the sun and set off on a thrilling sunrise game drive across the vast southern tracks of Murchison Falls National Park. As the golden light spreads across the savannah, the wilderness comes alive—predators stir, grazers begin to move, and the drama of the African bush unfolds before your eyes.

Keep watch for lions and leopards on the prowl, their silhouettes striking against the morning glow. This ecosystem teems with wildlife: mighty buffalo herds, towering elephants, and elegant Uganda kob. In the afternoon, travel to Paraa on the northern bank of the Nile for a spectacular boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. The riverbanks come alive with hundreds of hippos wallowing in the water, crocodiles basking in the sun, and an explosion of birdlife adorning the shoreline.

Then comes the grand spectacle: the mighty Nile squeezing through a narrow 7-meter gorge, plunging 40 meters in a roaring white-water explosion. After an early breakfast, your journey continues toward the lush heart of Kibale Forest.
Bid farewell to Murchison Falls around 7:30 am and keep watch as the first golden rays sweep across the savannah—you may spot wildlife gracefully moving along the park’s fringes.

As the road opens up, enjoy a scenic tapestry of Uganda’s countryside: rolling tea plantations, expansive cattle ranches, and vibrant farmlands leading you toward the charming town of Fort Portal. On clear days, the majestic Rwenzori Mountains rise into view—a breathtaking welcome to western Uganda.

Your final stop is a serene forest cottage tucked along the edge of Kibale National Park. Here, the rainforest becomes part of your daily rhythm, with playful primates making regular appearances and the soothing sounds of nature enveloping your stay. DAY 6 - Turaco Tree Tops / Rise with the rainforest / KIBALE NATIONAL FOREST - Fully inclusive -

After an early breakfast, make your way to the visitor center by 7:30 am to begin your unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in the legendary Kibale Forest. Often celebrated as Africa’s primate capital, this vibrant jungle is alive with movement and sound—home to more than 1,500 chimpanzees and an astonishing diversity of other primate species.

As you step deeper beneath the emerald canopy, stay alert to the forest’s subtle magic. Watch for the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, the striking red flash of a colobus, or the lively chatter of blue monkeys overhead. You may even catch the playful calls of baboons echoing through the trees.

Then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for. Guided by expert trackers, you’ll follow clues through the forest until the air fills with the unmistakable calls of a chimpanzee troop. Your driver will ensure timely arrival at the gorilla trekking briefing point, well before 7:30 am. By 8:00 am, your extraordinary journey into the dense rainforest of Volcanoes National Park begins, rain or shine.

Prepare for an exhilarating trek through the lush jungle, navigating winding trails, muddy slopes, and thick vegetation as you search for the majestic mountain gorillas.
